Se destac\u00f3 en las <a href=\"http:\/\/www.pianomundo.com.ar\/teoria\/sinfonia.html\">sinfon\u00edas<\/a>, escribiendo aproximadamente 15, siendo la Sinfon\u00eda n\u00famero 5 la considerada como su mejor composici\u00f3n. Sus otros trabajos incluyen un concierto de <a href=\"http:\/\/www.pianomundo.com.ar\/violin\/\">viol\u00edn<\/a>, tr\u00edos de <a href=\"http:\/\/www.pianomundo.com.ar\/pianos.html\">piano<\/a>, cuartetos de cuerdas, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.pianomundo.com.ar\/operas\/ballet.html\">ballets<\/a>, m\u00fasica de peliculas y <a href=\"http:\/\/www.pianomundo.com.ar\/operas\/\">\u00f3peras<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Sus primeros a\u00f1os<\/strong><br \/>\nDmitry Shostakovich (Dmitriyevich) naci\u00f3 en San Petersburgo el 25 de septiembre de 1906. Sus padres eran intelectuales y m\u00fasicos talentosos. Inicialmente estudi\u00f3 con su madre, una pianista profesional. Entren\u00f3 en el Conservatorio de San Petersburgo cuando ten\u00eda 10 a\u00f1os y se convirti\u00f3 en un pianista destacado. Tres a\u00f1os m\u00e1s tarde, estudi\u00f3 en el Conservatorio Petrograd con Alexander Glazunov. A los 19 a\u00f1os, su Sinfon\u00eda no.1 fue su pieza de graduaci\u00f3n, que le hizo ganar su primera atenci\u00f3n internacional. Su desarrollo creativo fue determinado m\u00e1s por sus eventos en casa. Mas tarde se cas\u00f3 con una cient\u00edfica, Nina Varzara y tuvieron dos hijos: Maxim, que se convirti\u00f3 en director de orquesta y pianista, y Galya.<\/p>\n<p><strong>El gobierno de Stalin y su influencia en el trabajo de Shostakovich<\/strong><br \/>\nSu m\u00fasica es <a href=\"http:\/\/www.pianomundo.com.ar\/tonalidad.html\">tonal<\/a> y bastante dram\u00e1tica, aunque no siempre fue del gusto oficial sovi\u00e9tico. Muchos de sus trabajos fueron escritos en formas de sinfon\u00edas, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.pianomundo.com.ar\/teoria\/concierto.html\">conciertos para piano<\/a> y cuartetos de cuerdas. Escribi\u00f3, como dijimos antes, 15 <a href=\"http:\/\/www.pianomundo.com.ar\/teoria\/sinfonia.html\">sinfon\u00edas<\/a>, m\u00fasica de c\u00e1mara y pel\u00edculas, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.pianomundo.com.ar\/operas\/ballet.html\">ballets<\/a> y <a href=\"http:\/\/www.pianomundo.com.ar\/operas\/\">\u00f3peras<\/a> incluyendo a Lady Macbeth de Mtsensk, que fue retirada por Stalin por no ser suficientemente nacionalista, por ser \u201cmuy divorciada del proletariado\u201d y por esto fue deshonrado. Como resultado, retir\u00f3 su Cuarta Sinfon\u00eda el mismo a\u00f1o. Sin embargo, en los a\u00f1os siguientes, Lady Macbeth de Mtsensk fue revivida como Katerina Ismaylova. Su reputaci\u00f3n se restableci\u00f3 con la Sinfon\u00eda no.5 en 1937. Tres a\u00f1os m\u00e1s tarde, Shostakovich gan\u00f3 el Premio Stalin de <a href=\"http:\/\/www.pianomundo.com.ar\/teoria\/quinteto.html\">Quintetos para piano<\/a>. <\/p>\n<p>Luego de la muerte de Stalin, Dmitry Shostakovich fue condecorado con la Orden de Lenin. Como un artista sovi\u00e9tico l\u00edder, se desarroll\u00f3 a trav\u00e9s de una agitaci\u00f3n pol\u00edtica durante los peores a\u00f1os de las reglas de Stalin seguidos por la invasi\u00f3n Alemana a la Uni\u00f3n Sovi\u00e9tica en 1941. Todos estos hechos hist\u00f3ricos se cruzaron con su m\u00fasica. Muri\u00f3 en Mosc\u00fa, a los 69 a\u00f1os.
