No s\u00f3lo eso, est\u00e1 calculado para producir toda la tensi\u00f3n que la psiquis humana puede absorber. <\/p>\n<p>Piense en el Sr. Jarrett como un malabarista quien mantiene a los espectadores al borde de sus asientos al arrojar tres cuchillos al aire, y los mantiene all\u00ed durante el mayor tiempo posible. A diferencia de un malabarista, creo yo, Keith mantiene amontonada la tensi\u00f3n a lo largo de un periodo de tiempo que es, como m\u00ednimo, de diez minutos. Su concierto en el Carnegie Hall el jueves por la noche, como parte del festival de jazz JVC, se bas\u00f3 en dos horas y media de tan s\u00f3lo piano, bajo y bater\u00eda. (Keith Jarret es tambi\u00e9n un corredor de largas distancias en el sentido de que su tr\u00edo, formado por el bajista Gary Peacock y el baterista Jack DeJohnette, se encuentra a pocos meses de cumplir su 25\u00ba aniversario).<br \/>\n<center><object width=\"425\" height=\"355\"><param name=\"movie\" value=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/v\/HPqK1JJOFxw&#038;rel=1\"><\/param><param name=\"wmode\" value=\"transparent\"><\/param><embed src=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/v\/HPqK1JJOFxw&#038;rel=1\" type=\"application\/x-shockwave-flash\" wmode=\"transparent\" width=\"425\" height=\"355\"><\/embed><\/object><\/center><br \/>\nLa tensi\u00f3n fue palpable incluso hasta cuando el Se\u00f1or Jarret caminaba abandonaba el escenario. Tal vez la lecci\u00f3n clave que aprendi\u00f3 de su experiencia con Miles Davis, con quien toc\u00f3 entre 1970 y 71, fue el concepto de reverseshowmanship, o tocar con severidad para poder ignorar al p\u00fablico y presentarse a s\u00ed mismo de un modo completamente hostil. Ese jueves, lo peor que Jarret hizo fue insultar a \u201cpersonas est\u00fapidas\u201d (tal cual las llam\u00f3) quienes insist\u00edan en tomarle una fotograf\u00eda. <\/p>\n<p>Si bien Keith Jarret ha absorbido a un mont\u00f3n de predecesores que le han influenciado tales como Bud Powell y Bill Evans, a veces parece que su mayor influencia es Alfred Hitchcock. Para su primer melod\u00eda comenz\u00f3 con un solo, una estela de armon\u00edas impresionistas en liberaci\u00f3n. Pero incluso luego de que sali\u00f3 del escenario durante un receso, se rehus\u00f3 a darnos alguna pista de la identidad de la melod\u00eda. <\/p>\n<p>La rapidez del se\u00f1or Jarrett en sus pasajes son deslumbrantes e incluso emocionantes;
