Tambi\u00e9n se ha lanzado otra grabaci\u00f3n del pianista que incluye una selecta colecci\u00f3n de sonatas para piano de Beethoven que merece una gran difusi\u00f3n por todo el mundo. Tal vez no ha tenido la suficiente autoridad que hizo que Brahms situara las mejores presentaciones de dichos trabajos en un disco desde Emil Gilels, pero est\u00e1 lleno de soberanas interpretaciones con una estimulante musicalidad que tal vez sean tambi\u00e9n, en\u00e9rgicas y bruscas por momentos, pero que est\u00e1 maravillosamente lleno de cada matiz y color.<br \/>\n<center><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.pianomundo.com.ar\/images\/freirebrahms.jpg\" alt=\"Freire y Chailly graban a Brahms\" \/><\/center><br \/>\nEl enfoque de Freire a la Sonata Waldstein del Opus 53, con la cual abre el disco, se\u00f1ala aquello que est\u00e1 por venir: un primer movimiento tan explosivo como nunca lo he o\u00eddo, seguido de un movimiento lento, elocuente y pensativo y el final que comienza con una expansi\u00f3n so\u00f1adora s\u00f3lo para ser explorada mediante una cuidada interpretaci\u00f3n. Les Adieux, de Opus 81a,  posee un tratamiento similar, si bien el Opus 110 en La bemol mayor no es tan exitoso, posee espor\u00e1dicos momentos de estridencia.
